In the unlikely event of your S3 dying, we would like to draw your attention to the instructions beginning on page 3 of the manual. These instructions are summarized below.
- Switch S3 off.
- Press and hold the RESET button.
- Plug the charger in.
- Release the RESET button.
- Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn S3 on. S3 should report:

If not, turn off and wait for another 30 seconds. If S3 still does not work after four attempts, please telephone the Dataman Technical Support Department, (+44 (0) 1300 320719) who will be pleased to help.
- AS SOON AS this message is displayed, press BOOST.
- Wait for another 30 seconds, then reload the HELP ROM, and immediately press BOOST.
- Leave S3 boosting until it turns itself off, at which stage it is once more fully charged. In the meantime, it can be used as normal.
